OMR was asked to provide a full programmatic Campus Master Plan in response to the evolving needs of Dedham Country Day School. Specifically, the school was interested in studying best uses for newly acquired residential properties, expanding their auditorium and library, creating a larger Lower School, and investigating playing filed and pool options.
After conducting intensive user meetings with staff and faculty, OMR developed space programs and organizational diagrams. Existing buildings were analyzed and included within all program calculations. Vehicular and pedestrian circulation were studied; and an environmental analysis was assembled which offered clues as to the proper orientation and configuration of new elements.
