lowell public schools study

OMR’s work for Lowell Public Schools involves a large-scale, system-wide facilities assessment of the existing 29 public school buildings – which includes all elementary, middle and K-8 buildings in Lowell as well as the Lowell High School, several alternative education schools and the Green Adult Education facility. Many of these are historic structures, dating to the 1890s. In addition, Master Plan options are being developed for the Lowell High School and for the district as a whole to consider grade reconfigurations, consolidations, additions, renovations and new construction in order to address the programmatic and physical plant requirements of the City of Lowell.

The 10-year capital plan resulting from the existing conditions assessment and the Master Plan options will provide the City of Lowell with a prioritized and comprehensive summary of project scopes of work, allowing these to be budgeted and scheduled. The scope of services includes assisting the City with identifying multiple projects to submit to the MSBA through the Statement of Interest process.
