pomfret school

OMR worked with Pomfret School, a 9-12 independent boarding school located in Northeastern Connecticut, to create an open, welcoming, transparent, functional and flexible science center that will facilitate teaching in and out of the classroom. The new building has a southern orientation and a green roof. Natural light enters the science labs through a continuous clerestory. The modern glazed elevations and curved building dynamics capture Pomfret’s creative spirit in science and technology.

The new building is also connected to Centennial Hall, integrating Math and Science and connecting the campus. The Science program consists of physics, chemistry, biology, robotics/engineering, environmental, and computer labs, as well as prep rooms, student meeting spaces, and math and science resource rooms.

The design will create a sustainable building that connects the upper and lower campus, integrates math, science, technology, and promotes student and faculty interaction.
