Thoughtforms was founded by Michael Rosenfeld in 1975 as a design/build company providing both architecture and construction. OMR Architects grew out of this when the architectural practice was detached from the construction firm to allow each to operate independently.

Thoughtforms Corporation Builders specializes in building high-end custom homes and unique institutional buildings.

An affiliated millwork shop, TFC Studios, is a collaboration of artisans and designers who work in wood, stone, glass, metal and composites.
